Abstract

This research was titled "The influence of testimony on Shopee Marketplace in student environment of information systems of Amikom Purwokerto University, 2016". The goal is to know the influence of testimonials on the action of online purchases on the Shopee marketplace in the student environment of the University of Purwokerto Information Systems, Amikom, 2016. In this study, there is one independent variable that is testimonial, and one dependent variable is the purchase action. This research is a type of quantitative study. In the making of the questionnaire, researchers used the AIDCA method. The data analysis method is a simple linear regression test. The population in this study is all students of the Program information System of Amikom Purwokerto University. The samples in this study amounted to 64 students with sampling techniques using purposive simple random sampling. This research used primary data obtained from the results of the questionnaire that has been filled by the students that are made samples, while secondary data is obtained from books, journals, or other archives relating to the topic of research. In a simple linear regression test obtained f_hitung value is 124.04 with a significance rate of 0.000 < 0.1 then it can be stated that there is a testimonial variable effect (X) to the Purchase action variable (Y). A large correlation value or a relationship (R) of 0.817 and obtained coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.667 which contains the notion that the influence of the testimony variable (X) to the Purchase action variable (Y) of 66.7%.
