Abstract
Covid-19 is a new type of virus that was discovered in 2019 and has never been identified to attack humans before. At the end of March 2020 Indonesia began lockdown by stopping activities to break the chain of the spread of the corona virus. Central Java is included in the high provincial category in positive cases of co-19, from corona.jatengprov.go.id data on July 17, 2020, positively treated by 2,774 patients. In Banyumas Regency there were positive co-19 cases treated by 37 patients. Sokanegara Urban Village which is included in the Banyumas region needs to be watched out, because based on the statement from the Urban Village there are still people who have not obeyed the health protocol. If people do not care about the importance of preventing the virus, then the disease will not stop spreading. The importance of corona virus education will be easily accepted by the public if delivered through covid-19 educational animation videos. Technological advances can be utilized as an educational publication media in the prevention of this corona virus. The purpose of this research is to make a preventive animated video to appeal to the danger of covid-19 disease in the community as a supporter of the broken link of the corona virus distribution. Making animation videos is designed by applying the stages to the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) development method, namely concept, design, material collection, manufacturing, testing and distribution. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the respondents agreed that the co-19 educational video was easily understood by the public with a success index of 83.2% and was in the "very good" category.
