Abstract
In the research conducted against 192 countries, Indonesia is named as the second largest plastic waste contributor in the country after China is 3,220,000 metric tons of plastic waste. Handling garbage with old system still raises various problems plus lack of public awareness that to sort waste, including in the Purwokerto city. To overcome these problems, the Government has implemented waste recycling program, namely Waste Bank. The waste Bank is a place of recyclable and/or reusable garbage collection and recycling that has economic value. But with a lack of information about the location of waste banks need to be made media for easy searching. The Media is an Android based search system that aims to know the location of the nearest garbage Bank in the Purwokerto city and facilitate the community in obtaining information. In research, authors use the system development method Extreme Programming (XP), the modeling system using UML, and the BlackBox method as a test system. The results of this research have managed to create an Android system used to find the nearest garbage Bank in the city of Purwokerto.
