Abstract

RPG game Catstale is an rpg game where players will play the character of a cat knight. This story tells of a cat character who goes on an adventure to various places to complete his mission of helping NPCs. The quests given are related to killing certain mobs or finding lost items and returning them. The name Catstale game itself was taken because this game using a cat character,the RPG genre chosen because the RPG genre is popular and can be replayed or playable. This game was created using the Game Maker Studio 2 game engine and is Desktop-based with 2-dimensional graphics, by applying artificial intelligence FSM (Finite State Machine). FSM (Finite State Machine) is used on enemy characters and user characters that use three things: State, Event, and Action. From the tests that have been carried out on the results of artificial intelligence FSM (Finite State Machine) in the rpg game "Catstale", this enemy character can detect the player's presence to determine attacks and user characters who are able to perform several automatic movements by detecting NPCs, walls and the character's hitpoints status.
