Abstract
Lighting is an electronic device or device located in a building that has a function as a means of lighting. A lamp is an electronic device or device that works with the help of electrical energy using an electronic device, namely a switch to activate or deactivate it. The problem that usually occurs in manually controlling lights is the difficulty in controlling the lights in a remote room with a large number of rooms and lights. This control system is ineffective and efficient, because it requires human power to regulate and monitor the lights in each room. Seeing this problem, a lamp control was designed using an Arduino Uno microcontroller and an Android smartphone. In this design system using a school building room simulation. Where there is an on / off switch for the AC lamp and the dimmer for the DC lamp. This control is carried out using a wireless system via a bluetooth module as a connecting medium. To turn on the light, the Android smartphone will send commands to the Arduino microcontroller via the Bluetooth linking media. So that the lights will turn on according to orders from the android smartphone. After testing the process of sending and receiving command data via the on / off button and the lamp dimmer. The results of these tests indicate that the lamp is able to work at a maximum distance of 15 meters with or without a barrier, and does not work at a distance of > 15 meters with a barrier or without a barrier. With these results, controlling the android smartphone can be used as a control of lighting lights in a school building wirelessly with a maximum distance of 15 meters without a barrier and will not work at a distance of > 15 meters with a barrier or without a barrier.
