Abstract
Freshwater aquaculture is now widely developed due to the high demand for fish for consumption. In freshwater fish farming, it is very important to pay attention to the quality of the water for the survival of the fish. One of the factors of water quality is dissolved oxygen (DO). The problem of freshwater fish farming is that the oxygen content in the water quality is not good enough that it will cause the freshwater fish to be susceptible to disease and cause death. The purpose of this study was to design and build a monitoring system for oxygen levels in freshwater fish farming using Arduino Uno and Dissolved Oxygen sensors to make it easier for freshwater fish farmers to monitor water quality, especially on oxygen levels. The method used is a prototype. The test results of this tool can monitor temperature, humidity, and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) in real time and can store sensor reading data into micro SD every 5 seconds. The monitoring was carried out for 2 x 24 in Karanganyar village, it was found that the average temperature in the morning was 28 ℃, and in the afternoon it was 34 while at night it was 27. Monitoring average humidity at morning is 75% and afternoon is 59%, while at night it is 76%. Monitoring Dissolve Oxygen in the morning is 2.73 mgl and at noon is 4.03 mgl while at night it is 2.47 mgl which means that the oxygen monitoring system in freshwater fish farming using Arduino can work properly and record realtime data stored in micro SD so that it makes it easier for freshwater fish cultivators to monitor fish development
