OPTIMALISASI JARINGAN WIRELESS DAN ANALISIS QUALITY of SERVICE (QoS) MENGGUNAKAN METODE HIERARCHICAL TOKEN BUCKET (HTB)

In modern times the need for internet use is increasing rapidly, both for doing work such as, processing data, streaming, downloading, browsing and others. One problem that is often faced by internet users is slow or unstable internet access. Especially when there are many users who use the internet simultaneously. This problem can occur because there is no bandwidth management system used. The performance of a Wi-Fi network (Wireless Fidelity) in a building or school, can be known from the reception of signals received by users from the AP. If the distribution of bandwidth in a wireless network can be done properly and correctly, the performance of the wireless network will be more optimal. Bandwidth management is needed so that the bandwidth is divided according to the needs of each connected connection. One method that can stabilize the distribution of the amount of bandwidth is the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method. The Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method is a method used to optimize the network in terms of bandwidth. HTB is a bandwidth management system that can be installed on a network. The purpose of this study is to adjust the amount of bandwidth to suit the needs of internet use for internet access activities such as browsing, downloading, streaming and others.
