PEMBUATAN ANIMASI 2D PENERAPAN SAFETY SIGNS DI LINGKUNGAN KERJA

Animation has now become a part of people's lives in general. The rapid development of animated film support technology supports its popularity and at the same time expands its functional aspects. In addition to the entertainment media, now animation is also used as a communication medium that is very effective in various fields and purposes. Animation as a medium Information in this work environment, made 2-dimensional animation using motion graphics and morphing techniques. Motion graphics are part of a digital recording or animation that creates the illusion of motion or rotation, and is usually combined with audio for use in project multimedia, while Morphing is basically done by making transition images between the origin and destination images. Safety signs are signs that provide information or instructions about safety or health in the workplace by means of signage, color, luminous sign, sound sign, verbal communication and hand sign) (HSE, 2015: 8). Especially for safety sign in signboard (signboard), there are several types that need to know, among others: (1) sign of prohibition (prohibition sign); (2) warning signs; (3) the mandatory sign; and (4) emergency sign (emergency espace or first aid sign). First, workers have a habit of assuming or guessing. Secondly, workers use the wrong work equipment and / or wrong use. Third, workers do not use personal protective equipment while working normally due to ignorance. Fourth, rush in completing work and fifth, let and not report the accident that happened. The purpose of this research is to make 2D animation of safety signs implementation in work environment to improve worker understanding on safety signs so as to reduce the risk of work accident.
