SISTEM PRESENSI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PENGENALAN KARTU BARCODE DAN SMS GATEWAY (Studi Kasus : SMPN 1 Kemangkon)

The student's presence in SMP Negeri 1 Kemangkon still uses the manual, which is to write the full name, signature and time of attendance in the attendance book that has been provided. The problems that arise in manual attendance is the presence of attendance safeguards conducted by students, and the presence process of the monthly attendance report recording process which takes a lot of time. The identification model that will be used is to use the concept of barcode recognition as monitoring the discipline of students in SMP Negeri 1 Kemangkon. The advantage of the presence model using barcodes is convenience, security, time and cost effectiveness. The system development method that will be used is to use a waterfall which consists of the stages of analysis, design, coding and testing. Software used in developing systems using Visual Studio 2012 and MySQL. The purpose of the research that will be carried out is to make a presence system using barcode recognition to minimize the occurrence of fraud and safeguarding student attendance so that they can maximize the level of discipline of students in SMP Negeri 1 Kemangkon. It is expected that with the application of the presence information system using barcodes and SMS Gateway can increase productivity and discipline, especially in terms of monitoring the attendance of students in SMP Negeri 1 Kemangkon.
