Abstract

Science subjects are one of the subject matter that must be mastered by grade VI students. However, there are still some of the sixth grade students of Warungpring Elementary School 01 who are not able to capture and understand the lesson. There is a problem of lack of interest in student learning, so that it has an impact on the value of science subjects which can be seen in daily scores. The teacher has delivered the material optimally, while the students tend to be passive. Based on these problems, an interactive learning media application was developed that can help students receive lessons better, by presenting material in attractive and interactive packaging. The method used in this study is MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle). This study aims to create an Android-based learning media for science learning materials including the solar system and eclipse class VI SD. The application was assessed by 15 students of class VI to find out student responses to the application of science learning media. The average percentage of recipient users was 98.89%. From the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the application of science learning media can help the teaching and learning process and is feasible to be used as a learning medium in class VI.
