DETEKSI NETWORK ISSUE DI LOCAL AREA NETWORK DENGAN MENERAPKAN BAHASA PEMROGRAMAN PYTHON (Studi Kasus: PT. Citacontrac Bumiayu)

The demands of Information Technology, especially computer networks, are very important. Computer networks are used to facilitate data communication within a company. Managing a computer network certainly requires a reliable IT team. It's not enough to have a reliable IT team, if a network problem occurs, the network administrator often can't handle it right away. This is because network administrators still use conventional methods. In the conventional method, the office administrator must wait for complaints from the field team which will then be forwarded to the central IT team to deal with the network problem. Conventional methods will certainly take a lot of time and disrupt the activities of network users so that business processes may be hampered. One company that still uses conventional methods is PT Citacontract Bumiayu. The purpose of this study is to detect network issues that are equipped with device detection on the local area network at PT Citacontract Bumiayu using an automated system using the python programming language. The network design that has been built has successfully implemented supporting technologies such as the OSPF and SSH routing protocols. The REST-API technology configured using the Python programming language has also been successfully implemented. This study uses the PPDIOO method (prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, optimize). The results of the study show that by using the Python programming language, the automatic system will work more optimally to detect network issues. The automated system can be used by network administrators to detect network issues on local area networks. The automated system is also equipped with dashboard, provisioning, assurance, and policy pages. This research also succeeded in proving that the automated system is better than the manual system. Future research can improve the last update and troubleshooting features on automatic systems when network problems occur.
