Abstract
Attendance management is one of the company's provisions to maintain the performance of its employees. The use of various attendance application systems has been widely used, such as fingerprint scanners to website-based attendance app, each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. This research focuses on designing and developing back-end API services using Node.js and MongoDB because scalability support, responsiveness and good running time. In particular, the development of this web-based back-end API service uses Express.js framework with REST API using the Scrum method. The result of this research is that the developed back-end API service has a fast response and good security. The development of the employee presence application was carried out in 2 sprints and then it can be integrated with the website-based front-end.
