Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a wide impact on society in Indonesia and throughout the world. One of the impacts is government activities, the economy, health, and education. The government has always tried to overcome the pandemic by enforcing the habit of doing 5M (washing hands, wearing masks, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and reducing mobility). This study takes one of the topics from the 5M, namely washing hands. Usually, hands are very influential from the spread of COVID-19 because of the droplets that stick to objects around them. So, you must sterilize your hands before entering a place that has high enough mobility. As a result of the observations made, several problems arise, for example, in the implementation of government or campus activities. On average, when employees, students, or guests enter the building, they carry out the process of checking the temperature and washing their hands / spraying hand sanitizer by the officers/security guards to minimize the spread of COVID-19. These activities usually cause long queues and require much staff. From these problems, an idea emerged to overcome them. The solution is to build a multifunction tool based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The prototype is useful for assisting officers/security guards in checking temperature and administering hand sanitizer. The prototype's advantages are an automatic hand sanitizer, automatic temperature measurement, automatic recording of the number of visitors, water level indicator, smart power supply management, and data logger. In addition, recorded data can also be monitored so that officers/security guards know the number of people in the building, the average temperature, and the remaining volume of hand sanitizer.
