Abstract
Hand sanitizer is a hand sanitizer that has antibacterial capabilities in inhibiting to kill bacteria, the use of hand sanitizers has begun to be applied in various places including the elementary school environment, in general use hand sanitizers are still done manually by pressing the pump on the hand sanitizer bottle. has the potential to spread viruses or bacteria attached to the hand sanitizer bottle. So we need a hand sanitizer system that can work automatically without touching the container or hand sanitizer bottle. The purpose of this research is to design a hand sanitizer prototype that can work automatically, the system development method used is the waterfall method starting from the process of analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The result of this research is a hand sanitizer system that can work automatically without touching the parts or containers of the hand sanitizer. The system will work if the ultrasonic sensor detects the user a maximum of 30 cm and the infrared sensor detects an object (hand) a maximum of 10 cm.
