Abstract
This problem is based on users of excessive and continuously increasing consumption of electrical energy in the community. The potential for excessive use of electricity can actually be minimized with a good understanding of proper and wise use of electricity. Saving electrical energy is the main solution today. To support this, new innovations are needed in the form of media tools with Augmented Reality technology that are able to visualize 3D shapes more realistically. So that later the community becomes more effective in receiving education. This study aims as a new innovation in creating education for the public about the application of saving electricity using Augmented Reality-based tools. The method used is MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) which consists of six stages. Namely concept (conception), design (design), collecting material (material collection), assembly (manufacture), testing (testing), and distribution (distribution). The results of the research on the questionnaire have a final average value of 84.8%, this shows that Augmented Reality media can be a new innovation and is very well used as a media tool in the application of saving electrical energy.
