Abstract
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19), this virus was first discovered in Wuhan, China. This positive single strain RNA virus infects the human respiratory tract and is heat sensitive and can be effectively inactivated by a chlorine-containing disinfectant. Common symptoms include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. Efforts to deal with the corona virus problem have been carried out in various countries, including Indonesia. Now Indonesia has imposed a lockdown and physical distancing to reduce the spread of the corona virus. To prevent the spread, one must also observe health protocols such as the obligation to use masks or personal protective equipment such as face shields, wash hands or use hand sanitizers, maintain distance and when entering a place the temperature should not exceed 37.5 degrees. In this case, the researcher wants to make a tool that can help make it more efficient and effective, namely a temperature detection smart face shield where this tool can detect temperature with a minimum distance of 1 meter. In the creation of this innovative work, the author uses a microcontroller as the control brain to make a temperature detection device combined with IoT technology and the AMG8833 camera thermal sensor to detect temperature. The purpose of this study is to make a device that is able to detect temperature by paying attention to the distance of a person, namely with a minimum distance of 1 meter. The methods used are literature, interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the tests carried out using black box testing, all component devices run as expected. The average value of the tool error percentage or error is 1.9%. The results of this study are a temperature detection smart face shield that has been tested and the tool functions well.
