Abstract

In this era of globalization, one of the developments of multimedia technology in the delivery of information is public service advertisements. Submission of information using public service advertising media has the ability to be able to explain something that is complex or complex or difficult to explain with just pictures or words. In this era, the concept of public service advertising also does not only emphasize the concept of real shoot packaging. But also many are packaged in 3D and 2D animation. however, according to observations made by researchers on 3 animated video public service advertisements in the form of 3D animation, the making of facial expressions on characters in the animation is not optimal and less attractive. Responding to this, it is very necessary in making characters in animation must pay attention to facial expressions on the character, therefore the need for use of the morphing technique is used to make facial expressions on characters in public service ad animation to give an interesting impression and make characters in the public service ad animation become more alive and more optimal. The method used in this study is the waterfall process model. This model systematically processes the making of animation and sequences starting from the pre-production, production and post-production stages. The purpose of this study is to optimize facial expressions on public service ads in the form of 3D animation with morphing techniques. And the results to be achieved are the optimal making of facial expressions on animated videos of public service advertisements in the form of animation
