Abstract

The development of the motorcycle industry in Indonesia experienced a significant increase, such as the injection system. Because motorbikes with injection systems are more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly, with the high number of injection motorcycle users now becoming an emerging problem that not all injection motorcycle users have the ability to repair damaged bicycles motorcycle. With the current advancements in smartphone technology and mobile users that are always increasing and almost everyone has, the idea is to develop expert system applications into one of the smarthphones with the Android operating system, using the ESDLC method (Expert System Development Life Cycle), where steps are taken is a step to build a knowledge base in the form of rules used in diagnosing injection motorbike damage. The system that will be created is "Development of Android Based Injection Motorcycle Diagnosis Expert Application System" this application will use the backward chaining method in the preparation of rules or rules in the diagnosis process. The results of the blackbox testing on the application indicate that all features are running well in accordance with the author's expectations. Then seen from the results of the questionnaire distributed to 32 general public, the percentage is 85.48% and classified as very good criteria. This application is expected to help users know the damage, maintenance and repair of their motorbikes earlier before continuing damage.
