IMPLEMENTASI FIREBASE CLOUD MESSAGING UNTUK NOTIFIKASI APLIKASI PENGELOLAAN TUGAS ASISTEN PRAKTIKUM BERBASIS ANDROID PADA FORUM ASISTEN UNIVERSITAS AMIKOM PURWOKERTO

Practicum assistants are members of the FA (Forum Assistant) whose job is to help lecturers teach in all courses that are practicum. Each assistant member is obliged to obey all applicable regulations in the FA Amikom Purwokerto University environment, such as the implementation of the assistant practicum assignment. But at this time the FA is experiencing some obstacles regarding the implementation of the assistant laboratory. Some of these obstacles include the absence of members when scheduling assistance and the lack of coordination between the lab assistant and the lecturer. Some of these problems cause inconvenience work when carrying out the task in progress. So we need a system that can answer some of the obstacles that exist by utilizing technology that is widely used and easily found, for example Android smartphones. The merging of Android smartphone capabilities and Firebase Cloud Messaging technology can be used to create a system that can solve existing problems. So that the goal to be achieved in this research is to implement Firebase Cloud Messaging for notification of Android-based lab assistant task management applications. The design of the application uses the Waterfall method. This method is suitable for systems that are less likely to make changes to the application and its features. In addition, the model provides a sequential software life cycle approach. The use of practical assistant task management applications can be a solution to the problems that occur in the FA
