Abstract

World Digital Forensic was developed to help detect digital devices. The rapid development of information technology regarding digital images at this time, of course, raises various threats and problems, for example, such as fraud. Digital image processing is so easy to create and manipulate that it deceives the eye, without even leaving a visual footprint on the user. The ease with which a person changes an image can affect the original quality of an image. As the development of image changing software is currently one of the triggers for crimes. Not a few people who become victims of abuse of this multimedia software. Many modes are carried out such as fraud, this is very troubling for people who don't know the world of forensics. Thus the purpose of this research is to use digital forensic tools to detect the authenticity of photos that are suspected to have been manipulated. The method used in this study is the NIJ method with the Noise Analysis technique and the Principal Component Analysis technique to facilitate the photo analysis stages. From the results of this study, it is able to detect and analyze photos that are suspected to have been manipulated using forensically Beta so that people can distinguish the authenticity of photos or images circulating.
