Abstract

Parking is a term that indicates a situation where the vehicle is temporarily abandoned by the owner in a place or road. The wide coverage of the parking area is not proportional to the number of users, so it requires parking management management in order to provide a sense of security and comfort both for students, Security issues are also a concern, to prevent other people from entering the parking area devoted to students, At the same time facilitating and assisting security officers In monitoring the entry and exit of vehicles, the data collection method carried out in this study used the literature method, the observation method. The formulation of the problem is how to design and build a parking system prototype with an Arduino Uno-based barcode card for students at the Amikom Purwokerto University. The purpose of this research is to design and build a parking system prototype using Arduino Uno-based barcodes, later this tool can limit the number of users who enter and as monitoring in the student parking area. The results of this study Successfully implemented a parking system prototype as a vehicle capacity limitation and monitoring student parking areas. And the parking system using a barcode scan can be used as a parking system restriction for active students and the results of the Blackbox Testing on the application show that all features have been running well and in accordance with the author's expectations. Then the results of the questionnaire produce an average index formula of 87% with the category Strongly Agree.
