Abstract

Information system and information technology is one of the essential factors in business target achievement, particularly to achieve competitive eminence among the competitors, ensuing in business of hotel, for instance Hotel Meotel Purwokerto. To itilize information system and information technology, it is necessarily to have a fine strategic planning to optimally utilizing the information system. The strategic planning of information system is also able to support and to achieve vision and mission of Hotel Meotel Purwokerto. To organize the strategic planning of information system in Hotel Meotel Purwokerto, the outhor applies Ward and Peppard methodology. The Ward and Peppard methodology consist of PEST, SWOT, Value Chain analysis, and McFarlan’s Strategic Grid. The result of the strategic planning of information system in Hotel Meotel Purwokerto is a portfolio document of IS/IT application which can be utilized by Hotel Meotel Purwokerto as a platform to expand the business to the next level
