Abstract

The lack of a level of home security such as the use of conventional door locks at this time, makes it a gap for perpetrators of theft and burglary. As the development of technology, especially the security section, can be a solution to replace the current conventional home door security system. By utilizing an identity such as an E-KTP id card as a security protocol, it can be developed for security because it fulfills the security function of verification. Besides being able to be used to improve a security system, E-KTP also functions for Indonesian citizens' identities. So it was made a protoype of home door security using Arduino Uno-based E-KTP and RFID as the initial stage of implementation in the real duina about home security. This system is useful for improving home security. This research uses data analysis techniques from the statistical body about theft and interviews with one of the people who experienced home theft. So that it can be produced a home door security prototype using Arduino Uno-based E-KTP and RFID. In this study it can be concluded that the use of E-KTP to improve home security can be used to replace the current conventional home security system
