Abstract

In a pandemic situation like this, many companies are experiencing an economic crisis. In fact, not a few companies are forced to issue policies to terminate employment (PHK) for their employees to overcome the company's financial management, one of which is in the Gramedia Purwokerto bookstore. With this problem, it makes it difficult for some employees to carry out their duties, especially Security. With the deduction of employees, it makes security anxious in counting the number of visitors who enter the Gramedia Purwokerto bookstore. So, from that the authors designed a system that can be used to ease the work of employees, especially security. In designing this Automatic Visitor Counter System, it uses several stages, including :. 1) Problem Identification; 2) Data Collection; 3) System Design; and 4) Documentation of Research Results. This system has been realized and can work accurately, namely counting the number of visitors who enter a building automatically. This system will also send the number of incoming visitors every 1 hour to the Smartphone using a Bluetooth connection and will reset automatically when the time has passed 1 hour.
