Abstract

Acute respiratory infections are a group of complex and heterogeneous diseases caused by various causes and may affect any site along the respiratory tract. Clinically, acute respiratory infection is an acute sign and symptom of infection occurring in each respiratory tract and lasts no more than fourteen days. One of the causes is viruses such as Rotavirus, Influenza virus, Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Symptoms of acute respiratory infections that infect the patient such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, decreased appetite, malaise, muscle pain. Examples of diseases of acute respiratory infections are Community Pneumonia, Atipical Pneumonia, Nosocominal Pneumonia, Acute Bronchitis, Allergic Rhinitis, Non Allergic Rhinitis, Bacterial Acute Sinusitis, Acute Faringitis, Acute Tonsillitis, Non Specific Acute Laryngitis. The development of technology and computers make 3D animation making techniques growing and progressing rapidly. Animation is a movement made on an image as well as text. Using animated object or text movements will look more alive. 3D animation is the development of 2D animation. With 3D animation, characters are shown to be more real and live, close to the original human form and easy to describe. The purpose of this research is to make 3D animated video of acute respiratory infection in Posyandu using low poly modeling as a socialization media which can inform about acute respiratory infection disease. The method used in this study using the method Suyanto, M & Aryanto (2006) which consists of three stages including pre-production, production and post production. The results of this study are to make 3D animated video about acute respiratory tract infections include symptoms, causes and ways of prevention.
