Abstract
Many problems at home such as drying clothes and being exposed to rain when the homeowner leaves, difficulty estimating the distance behind the car when parking backwards, forgetting to turn on or turn off electronic devices such as lights when going, to security at home such as gas leak detection and door locks with the owner's identity card House. To answer existing problems, it is necessary to develop a smart home system with various features. Then the researchers aimed to make the concept of a smart home to answer the problems that have been described into a prototype type 60 house that was scaled down to 1: 20 cm. The purpose of this research is to design and build a smart home system with various features into a prototype house type 60 with its Android application. For this reason, researchers used the xtreme programming system development method for the manufacture of smart home systems based on the Arduino Mega 2560. The results of this study were to produce a smart home system with various features including an automatic clothesline whose roof will close when it rains and open when it is bright, the parking assistant in home carport, android application as a control to turn on the lights of each room and control the door of the house through an internet connection, a gas leak detector in the kitchen that will give a warning to the homeowner and the security of the house key with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification).
