Abstract

The existing tourism potential in Cilacap Regency is still developed to make Cilacap Regency as a leading tourist destination. Various efforts are made in the framework of promotion. Starting from the holding of exhibitions, events, making videotapes, the use of social media and the use of Android-based app called Ayo Wisata ke Cilacap. However, the application still has some shortcomings, such as the absence of distance information of the destination and the lack of features to find the destination with the closest distance from the user location. In addition, the absence of features that can be used to accommodate the proposed destinations of the community is still a weakness because one of the difficulties in tourism promotion is getting data. In collecting research data, researchers used interview techniques, documentation and literature study. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD). The Visit Cilacap application can be used to assist Disporapar Cilacap in accepting proposals of new destinations from communities equipped with distance information. The Haversine Formula has been successfully implemented to provide distance information for destinations and to locate destinations with the closest distance from the user application location.
