Abstract

Assets are all the things that can be used in company operations. The more assets in a company, the more actions must be taken to manage its assets. Many factors can affect the condition of assets owned. With proper asset management, companies can save expenses and maximize profits. PT PLN (Persero) the Central Java and Yogyakarta Distribution Management Unit (UP2D JTY) handle at least 2708 keypoint assets which became a key point in the electrical network configuration engineering. So far, asset monitoring has been the focus of the planning (REN) division and using a spreadsheet application. On the other side, the details that must be considered from the keypoint are quite a lot and divided into large areas, so it’s hard if only the REN division is taking care. With these problems, the researcher tries to create a keypoint asset management system to optimize the keypoint asset monitoring process, so it’s expected to optimize asset management. With the web-based keypoint asset management system, it is possible to store a history of the keypoint assets which can be considered for planning and evaluation. Researchers use the eXtreme Programming software development method because the criteria of the method can be applied in the UP2D, where users and developers can coordinate during the development process. This keypoint asset management system was built using the Codeigniter Framework and XAMPP, so it’s easier to access within the work environment of UP2D JTY.
