Abstract

SMK N 2 BAWANG is one of the schools in Banjarnegara, which has four majors including computer and network engineering, audio video engineering, motorcycle engineering, industrial electronics engineering. In the activities of the process of delivering material carried out by the teacher or the teacher still using the system face to face and interacting with students. Likewise with the process of the examination system carried out at the Vocational School both the final semester exam, the midterm and the daily exam using a manual scoring system with questions and answers using paper as a medium. There are many obstacles to using a convection system on paper media when the assessment process, which is where the teacher will do manual calculations on student answers, takes a long time and is subjective assessment so that the assessment will have poor quality. So from these problems the author tries to make a website-based short answer automatic scoring system using the cosine similarity method. The results showed that the researchers succeeded in making a website-based short answer automatic scoring system application using the cosine similarity method and obtained a very good correlation value of 0.839466.
