Abstract

Along with the development of modern technology and science is growing very rapidly, humans are required to adapt and follow the developments that occur. Smartphone is considered to provide a lot of information and convenience for its users. Android is the most widely used smartphone operating system in Indonesia so it is perfect for information retrieval. Android-based Tajweed learning application is needed as a supporting medium in the learning process and a means to introduce Tajweed to the community through the current technology of Android smartphone. Android is an open source operating system that provides many tools in building software and allows for opportunities to develop applications. Tajweed is a very noble science because it relates to Kalamullah Al-Qur'an. Reading the Qur'an properly and correctly is one of the most important and necessary knowledge of Muslims as a foundation before studying other sciences. The purpose of the study is to create an Android-based Tajweed learning app by using Extreme Programming system development method, this method is from planning, design, coding, and testing. The programming languages are Java and XML. The database uses SQLite. The software used is Android Studio. The result of this research is the creation of an Android-based Tajwid learning application which is utilized as a practical learning tool to be easily understood and applied.
