Abstract

Based on observations, that there are no sufficient facilities for the learning process, for example natural science learning, one of which is on the material of the human digestive system. This causes students to not understand the material explained by the teacher. Then based on an interview with Ms. Endri as a science subject teacher as well as guardian of class VI SD Negeri 1 Kroya said that students find it very difficult to memorize parts of the digestive system. For the highest value only reaches 70 only. In adition students sometimes feel bored when learning takes place. Because only listening to lectures from teachers and books that are used as learning support media. By seeing the current development of IT, it is expected that there will be learning media that can make learning interesting, varied, fun and effective, which later will not only listen to lectures from teachers and be guided by guidebooks, this media is also expected to have an amalgamation of text elements, images, animations, sounds and videos to provide attraction as the material presented. So that later this media can be useful as a means of student learning. The media used is video animation using cell shading rendering techniques. Cell shading is a rendering technique that displays 3D graphics that resemble hand drawings, such as comic drawings and cartoons. This technique has also been applied a lot which turned out to attract a lot of interest from interested people. This technique will be applied into 3D animation "designing a 3D animation video introduction to the digestive system in class VI SD Negeri 1 Kroya using cell shading techniques" Animation is designed using scenarios and storyboards then implemented in 3D Blender software using cell shading rendering techniques. In this study the authors used the system development method Suyanto (2006). In the stages of the system there are three stages in producing multimedia, namely: Pre Production, Production, and Post Production. This study aims to make learning media, namely 3-dimensional animation in accordance with the results of interviews and data collection which will further facilitate students in learning and understanding the digestive system material in Class VI Elementary Schools.
