PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENERIMAAN PESERTA DIDIK BARU SMK YPE CILACAP BERBASIS WEBSITE

The admission of new students (PPDB) is an effort to sustain educational activities that need to be implemented. This activity aims to provide MTs and SMP graduates both public and private as well as graduates of the pursuit package to continue their education to a higher level of education. Various methods are used by the school so that the data processing of new student admissions runs fast and on time. SMK YPE Cilacap the process of admitting new students still uses a manual system, where prospective new students in the registration process enter data by writing on the registration form after the data written on the new registration form is recapitulated by the PPDB committee of SMK YPE Cilacap into a computer using Microsoft Excel software. In the data recap process of admission of new students at SMK YPE Cilacap, they often experience problems with damaged registration forms. The loss of registration data forms, incorrect registrant data, and duplicate registrant data makes the annual data recap incomplete. To solve this problem, a web-based but offline student admission information system was built that utilizes a client server network that can help the committee for admitting new students. The new student admission information system was created using the prototype system development method. From the results of phase II beta testing, it was found that all the needs of the school had been met
