Abstract

Study Program of Informatics Engineering STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto was established in 2005 and its located at LetJend. Pol. Sumarto street, Watumas Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency. This far, IT Study Program does not have yet an optimal profile video, because it is only present the vision and mission of the Study Program Informatics Engineering and the profile video has not been published on social media. Therefore, its necessary for the new breakthroughs to create profile videos that present some aspects such as vision- mission, facilities and infrastructure, graduate prospects, offered concentration, and certification which later can be uploaded via youtube using kinetic typography. The purpose of this study is to make a profile video of the STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto Study Program Informatics Engineering using kinetic typography technique. Methods of data collection are carried out using fact-finding technique, namely observation of the work environment, interviews, and joint requirements planning. The system development method used is the development method by M. Suyanto which consists of three stages, namely Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. The result of this study is 2D animation profile video that used kinetic typography technique. Testing is used alpha beta testing. This video assessment was distributing 30 questionnaires to 30 respondents with 5 statements, for the number of judgments from the percentage using the Likert scale with the results of the average index of 30 respondents at 83,2% so that it was included in the category very strongly.
