PERANCANGAN DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN SISTEM INFORMASI PADA INSTANSI PEMERINTAH (Studi Kasus: Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Banyumas)

The probability of damage or disruption to the technological infrastructure is unavoidable and undpredictable, just like disaster. The disaster can be natural and non-natural disasters. These events and disasters affect both directly and indirectly to the operations of the organization. Many organizations depend on information systems to support their operations including within the government sector. District Education Office of Banyumas Regency is a government-owned organization that in carrying out its duties and authority can not be separated from the use of information systems. From the interviews that have been conducted, District Education Office of Banyumas Regency does not have a preparatory document in the event of a disaster. It is necessary to design a document Disaster Recovery Plan to prevent the occurance of risks posed by unexpected disaster threat to the information system at District Education Office of Banyumas Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The purpose of this research is to design a Disaster Recovery Plan procedure in the information system of District Education Office of Banyumas Regency created using NIST SP 800-34 Rev.1 standard which will be used as input in the making and implementation of disaster recovery plan after the disaster at District Education Office of Banyumas Regency. The making of Disaster Recovery Plan is adjusted to the situation and condition at District Education Office of Banyumas Regency so that planning and handling can be done appropriately. The final result of this research is the Disaster Reovery Plan document which contains the system recovery procedures from disaster.
