Abstract

The influence of the increasingly rapid development of the era makes folklore sinking more and more day by day. For this reason, there is a need for continuity between folklore and technology so that folklore and technology can go hand in hand. Short film folklore history of the establishment of Kalilunjar Village in the form of 2D vector animation film with rigging technique which is a form of linkage between folklore and technology, where both are able to go hand in hand and support each other. Packaged in the form of 2D animation, the folklore of the history of the founding of Kalilunjar Village will be used to introduce the history of Kalilunjar Village, located in Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java. This has an impact where folklore will always be remembered by the village community despite the swift influence of globalization and today's technology. The method used is MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) which consists of six stages, namely concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The rigging technique in the creation of 2D animated works of Kalilunjar Village History can minimize the number of character designs created, so that only one character design that is separated from its body parts into several layers, can produce several other movements. The use of rigging techniques in 2D animation can also smooth the movement of characters, because the number of frames per second is as much as the number of fps (frames per second) of the composition made depending on the keyframes in Adobe After Effects. based on a questionnaire to 17 random respondents with a total of 6 questions stating very good 43.5%, then 3.5% enough, while the percentage stating good was 53%, and less than 0% then for the duration of manufacture 88.3% said yes (fast ) and those who stated no were 11.7%. Based on these percentages, this animation is good enough to be used as a medium of information because the percentage that says it is very good is more than those who say it is lacking and this animation can also be considered fast in the process. So that future animation work can use more efficient processing time with good results and is suitable for use as a medium of information.
