Abstract

Expert system with the ability to diagnose printer damage is a system that uses the knowledge and reasoning of humans captured by computers to solve a problem that usually requires expert expertise. The purpose of making this expert system application is to make it easier for people to find out faster information about various types of printer damage. This system is Web-based using Adobe Dreamwaver Design, PHP programming language and MySQL database. In the process of drawing conclusions the system uses the Forward Chaining algorithm where the symptoms of damage and the rules of the algorithm are determined by the expert and the user only selects facts which he thinks are symptoms of printer damage experienced. The results obtained from making this application that information about related damage can be more easily obtained by making an expert system to detect printer damage and can be used and studied easily by the general public.
